This year’s Thanksgiving celebration! |
|
Grace means receiving all the good blessings we do not deserve and not getting all the bad consequences that we deserve. The difference between the old covenant of law and the new covenant of grace is that law is deserved favor – when you obey the commandments perfectly, you will be blessed. Grace is undeserved favor – Jesus obeyed God perfectly and you will be blessed by believing in Him. In other words, God blesses you not because you are good, but because He is good. But grace is ultimately not a teaching or a doctrine. Grace is a person and you can have a relationship with a person. Grace is personal and came as a person – the person of Jesus Christ. We pray that ICCSD will be a church where grace permeates and reflects everything we do. |
