The Gospel of Guided Grace:

How Receiving the Love of God Changes Our Heart and Lives

2 Cor. 2:14 (NIV)

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

1. Focus on His love for us first, not our love for Him – and as we receive and accept His love, our love will begin to grow naturally and genuinely

Ephes. 3:18-19 (NLT)

And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is. [19] May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

1 Cor. 13:1-7 (NIV)

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. [2] If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. [3] If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

[4] Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. [5] It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. [6] Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. [7] It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

2. We mistake                         gifts for grace!

         being good for grace!

How are we with people in Private?

Does our love fall apart during trials and difficult circumstances?

Love suffers a long time with patience.  Love shows kindness.  Love does not burn with envy.  It does not get inflated with its own importance.  It is never rude and ill-mannered, rather, love joyfully celebrates truth, gives all kinds of support, never loses faith, never exhausts hope, never gives up.

3. Love in 1 Cor. 13 is ultimately the person of Jesus expressing the way He loves us, a love we cannot produce ourselves but can receive and pass on

1 John 4:19 (NASB)

We love, because He first loved us.

God changes our hearts supernaturally through the Gospel of grace when we fully understand and experience His love for us
