Becoming Who You Are By God’s Grace
1 Corinthians 15:1-11 (NIV)
1. The only way to become who you truly are is to ground yourself securely in Jesus Christ alone. (vv. 1-2)
- “Taking a stand” on the side of the gospel means choosing to constantly live out the message of the gospel, both in faith and in action.
- To hold onto something else besides God’s truth is both barren and unproductive.
2. Your identity can never contradict the very essence of the gospel message. (vv. 3-8)
- Your life should bear: Forgiveness (Christ dying for our sins)
A new existence (Christ’s resurrection)
Witnessing (Appearance of Christ to believers)
3. Your past does not have to hold you down from finding your true calling in life. (vv. 9-11)
- God’s grace offers complete restoration.
