ICCSD Summer 2008, Issue 3

ICCSD is about to celebrate her 9th anniversary!  This year's celebration is unlike what we have done in the past.  We have the famous worship band - The Heavenly Melodies from Taiwan coming to ICCSD for a night of praise and worship.  They have recorded with Integrity Music.  They play in stadiums and concert halls around the world - and in the US, to standing room auditoriums.  They will be touring the US this September, and playing in places like the Crystal Cathedral. Advertisements have been placed in the local media and newspapers.  If you are in the area, you are invited to join us for this celebration!  Invite a friend or colleague!

 A Project You Can Support and Pray for: ICCSD Project Coordinator

As we all know, any successful church or organization requires a good administrator and good administration.  We at ICCSD have gone for a long time without any administrator.  However, instead of a long term permanent administrator, it would be more realistic to look for an ICCSD Project Coordinator.  We are asking for prayer and financial support for a project coordinator who can take care of short-term projects, such as a church camp coordinator, leadership training coordinator, outreach coordinator, follow-up coordinator, and special events coordinator.  We are certain that these projects would go a long way in growing and deepening our church life.  We appreciate any help in this area.

We invite you to join our newly formed Care Groups.  ICCSD recently launched three Care Groups or small fellowship groups in various areas in San Diego.  We will be launching a fourth Care Group shortly.  God designed us to function best in genuine relationships that are often found in smaller groups.  No human lives well in isolation but functions best in community.  It is much easier to share our deepest issues in smaller groups, and Care Groups are intended to be "safe" places where we encourage one another at the deepest levels with God's love and truth.  If you are not already in a smaller group, we invite you to join any one of our Care Groups!

We had five participants who recently made an important decision to be baptized.  We give thanks to God for their step of faith.  We pray that they will continue to grow and mature after this important first step.  Feel free to contact the church leadership if you want to be baptized.
